Data entry demo PDF to word | PDF conversion without software
Let’s see how to convert PDF document to Word document while using a software and without it.
If you have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed in your system, open the PDF using the software. To convert the PDF follow the following steps:
Click on File
Select the option ‘Save As Other’, Select ‘Microsoft Word’ and then ‘Word Document’.
Save the file giving the desired filename.
This way you can convert PDF file to Word document using a software.
Steps to convert PDF file without using any software is as follows:
Go to Google Drive from your web browser
Select the ‘New’ option on the screen and choose the option ‘File upload’
Select the PDF file that you want to convert and upload it in the Google Drive
Once the PDF file is uploaded in the Drive, right click on the file and select Open with ‘Google Docs’
This way, Google will automatically read and convert the PDF file to a document online
Open a New Word Document on your desktop
Also open a blank Notepad file
Reason why you need a Notepad file is because, in the PDF document, OCR picks plenty of dots and mis-alignments from the PDF during the conversion that needs to be fixed or altered. Notepad helps the users in correcting such formatting issues.
Next step, copy the content of the document opened in the Google Docs
Paste the content on the Notepad file
As the content is copied on a Notepad file, all the dots and other special characters gets automatically dissolved. Simply copy or cut the content from the Notepad and paste it on the Word Document file.
Every time you take this step, ensure that you use the Show/Hide feature of M.S. Word.
This will help you in finding all the unnecessary spaces or dots in the document which you can easily delete.
Just to ensure the correctness and similarity of the PDF and Word, open both files and compare the content while fixing all the formatting issues and working on the same style as the PDF.
Also make sure you check for line breaks. Since the text content is converted from a PDF, chances are that there would be abrupt line breaks causing the sentences to have no meaning at all.
Just a small tip, whenever you find a red underline for a word, ensure you cross check it, because in most cases the word will have a grammatical error in it.
Take necessary steps to restrict the content to be retained in its restricted page. It mostly involves reducing the font size or adjusting the indentation and paragraph values or increasing the page size. All these options are already available in Microsoft Word by default.
These procedure will be very helpful for all the users on the Data Entry Jobs.
I hope this article helps you with your work.
